The seed is sifted from high-quality dried blackcurrant, obtained from pomace from fruit and vegetable juice plants.

Use

Blackcurrant seed is an ideal addition to fruit teas, but also to fruit muesli of all kinds. It is also used to produce a unique, cold-pressed fruit oil – a natural ingredient used in the food and cosmetics industry.

Characteristics of the product

The raw material for oil pressing is characterised by:

  • a high content of unsaturated fatty acids omega-3 and omega-6, occurring in an ideal ratio of 1:5
  • a high content of gamma-linolenic acid GLA (10-18%)
  • high content of vitamins A and E
  • has moisturising and antibacterial effects, slows down the skin ageing process, helps to maintain the right level of skin hydration, and protects against UV-B and UV-C radiation (the skin’s natural protective barrier)
